Brand Manager, Marketing

JOB SUMMARY

The Brand Manager will be responsible for managing their brands in the Canadian market. Under the supervision of the Category Director, they will be responsible for overseeing the entire value chain of their respective brands, coordinating with other departments and with sales teams across the provinces.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain “Best in Class” supplier-client relationships ;
  • Preparation of business plans for each of the product lines - financial, strategic and tactical;
  • Management of budget objectives and follow-ups - sales, margins and promotional investments;
  • Efficient management of the Brands’ financial indicators to ensure profitability, drive Return on Investment, increase volume and market shares;
  • Management of promotional activities for all customers across Canada;
  • Establishment of the promotional calendar and all marketing activities;
  • Follow-up of objectives set for each major account across Canada - sales, referrals, distribution, promotions, marketing, promotional investments, etc. ;
  • Store visits/audits - evaluation of merchandising, competition, awards, promotions, innovations, rotation, etc. ;
  • Accompany the key account managers for business reviews at specific customer accounts when required to do so;
  • Negotiation and follow-up with suppliers of promotional opportunities, purchase volumes, marketing expenses, etc. ;
  • Liaising and coordinating with agencies for different marketing services when needed;
  • Managing and adjusting the sales forecast based on market dynamics to ensure adequate supply;
  • Monitoring the expiry of the products and the implementation of action plans if necessary;
  • Effective and efficient communications with supplier-customers and national sales teams;
  • All other related tasks

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • University degree in Administration and/or Marketing
    • Minimum 2 years experience in brand management (preferably in the food / CPG industry)
    • Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and written
    • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
    • Being bi-lingual (French and English) and a working knowledge of SAP would be considered an advantage
    • Knowledge of new technology/communication tools and platforms such as OneNote, Teams, Zoom, social media (FB, Instagram, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, etc.) and a good sense of e-commerce

        WORKING CONDITIONS

        Full-time and permanent work. The regular workweek is 37.5 hours, from 8.30 am to 5:00 pm. Possibility of the need to work under pressure during peak periods and may require flexibility on occasion.
