SUMMARY
The main responsibility of this position is to direct employees working in receiving, warehousing, replenishment, order preparation and delivery, and to work in conjunction with other departments.
RESPONSABILITIES
- Manage the daily activities of the production while respecting the established schedules: The coordination, the follow-up and the management of the work teams on the floor occupy 75% of the time and 25% of the time will be given to all the administrative tasks related to this position (various reports on Excel, Word, SharePoint, SAP)
- Assign orders to be prepared for each employee
- Act as support during emergencies for the alarm system
- Improve the performance and quality of production
- Analyze results and propose corrective measures
- Must interact with people in Toronto for transportation
- Encourage communication and interaction between employees and management
- Evaluate staff individually (oral and written) on a regular basis.
- Discipline employees who do not comply with company policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety
- Train and motivate employees - Investigate, document and follow up on all work-related accidents
- Participate in the research, analysis and implementation of systems, procedures or equipment in order to increase the efficiency of its personnel
- Responsible for the return of drivers - Know how to act quickly in case of delays in production
- Support person in case of absences (dispatcher, night supervisor, logistics)
- Management of the security of the premises
- Responsible for interview meetings for the hiring of warehouse personnel
- All other related tasks
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work at the physical location in the warehouse at a permanent flat rate. The regular work week is 40 hours, from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Work can be pressured at peak times and may require overtime on occasion.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Collegial education in a relevant field
- Knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in managing and supervising warehouse personnel; minimum 2 years
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse and logistics procedures
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety procedures
